A Bitter Friend

Cephal Lorentus is an experienced wizard, and co-founder of the Varnling Host. He serves as Baron Varn's mentor and uncompromising critic. He is a dismal man, I must say. His stare can make one curl up into a ball, or at least walk away as quickly as possible. Even I, a seasoned adventurer, never thought to cross him! Cephal likes to imagine that he knows more about politics than Baron Varn, his young and daring companion. The two have been together through thick and thin, but will they be able to remain true to their union, now that it is being tested by power?
