There's more fertile land and pasture there than anywhere in the River Kingdoms, except for maybe Sevenarches. The folks who grow crops and tend cattle are well respected there. But at the same time they live in constant danger — there's too many bad people, too lazy to work all day, but don't mind taking other people's things."
