"There is... one more reason I've spoken about immortality. My poor sisters — the nymphs — shared the burden of the curse with Nyrissa. The curse tore them from the eternal cycle of life of the First World. Now they can really die, even in the First World — just like you and everyone else around them. I suppose the curse didn't impact me as heavily. Perhaps because I tried to dissuade Nyrissa from her plan at the outset, or perhaps because I tried to fight the evil that plan bestowed upon us."
