"While taking part in an expedition, quite contrary to my intentions, I found myself hunted by some barbarians. While trying to escape, I climbed up into the mountains – so high that the barbarians had to abandon their quarry to the mercy of icy winds and avalanches. So I plodded across the highlands until I spotted a little light in the darkness. It turned out to be a tavern, where a celebration was underway. The highlanders weren't too happy to welcome an intruder, but they agreed to give me shelter if I beat them in a challenge."
