Mud Bowl

A strange pool of bubbling mud, sitting in a narrow gorge between several hills. The mud is heated all year long by geothermal activity, and it provides fertile ground for plants and insects, as well as some more peculiar forms of life. The surface of the mud ripples as bursting bubbles release clouds of malodorous vapor.
