Runoff Creek

Runoff Creek descends from the mountains, flowing into the Little Sellen River. In some parts, the creek is more like a small, noisy brook than a proper river — falling from rock to rock, it provides just enough water for the mountain goats and rodents who take shelter in crevasses and along stone ledges. As it enters the valley, Runoff Creek is almost invisible, obscured by the high grass that grows along its narrow streambed.
