Runaway Throne

War of the River Kings

Unspeakable insolence! His Highness was robbed! And not just robbed: the villains dragged away the symbol of our kingdom — the very throne our country's ruler sits upon for meetings and receptions! We must do everything we can to find it before the relic makes it across the country's borders and our misfortune becomes known to all the River Kingdoms!

  1. Interview citizens

The search for any loss begins with interviews. We need to talk to the captain of the guard who discovered the throne had disappeared. Also, we should speak with Verdel the blacksmith, a victim of theft himself, as well as the city trader — they're bound to know something about these mysterious thieves. Moreover, Elina the innkeeper has definitely heard something about the string of thefts the whole city's been suffering from recently.

  2. Wait until the throne appears for sale

The interviews didn't dig up any results: these thieves are cunning — they use magic, and they don't sell their goods to third parties! We can only hope that our loss shows up somewhere. After all, this is the throne we're talking about!

  3. Return the throne

The royal throne was found being sold by a goblin haggler! How did he come up with such an idea...? No, we can think about that later — for now, we have to get the relic back where it belongs!

  4. 01_AskCitizensAddendum_01Captain

The captain said the throne was taken by someone inconspicuous — the guard didn't even notice the villain behind the massive chair that he was dragging along the corridor.

  5. 01_AskCitizensAddendum_02Innkeeper

Elina said that the thieves' choice of loot is odd — they take both valuable items and worthless trinkets.

  6. 01_AskCitizensAddendum_03Blacksmith

Verdel saw a magic portal — the thief who robbed him escaped through it.

  7. 01_AskCitizensAddendum_04Vendor

The trader reported that the stolen items hadn't appeared on the underground market. It seems the thief must be selling all his dishonestly obtained wares by himself!
